I'm not a big fan of of writing a first draft. I'm much more excited about the editing portion. Going through the next drafts is much more interesting to me because that's when the story really starts to look like a story.
I'm sure it's the same with art.
It's that way with music. The hardest part of a song is getting everyone to learn their parts...it's not until later does the song actually sound like something someone wants to listen to...
